Hey it's Amii. As you may or may not know, before djing, I was active in another creative domaine; visual arts. During high-school, I specialized in Fine Arts and later on graduated university with a Bachelor and Master of Arts.

As Jimmi and I are chasing the slow moments in life, the natural dopamine that is found in nature and everyday life & the present moment, the urge to take a paint brush in my hand and draw on a canvas or piece of paper, became bigger and bigger.

Painting, for me, is a coming back to my roots, focussing on one single task, clearing my busy mind and flowing with the present.

I'm inspired by nature's shapes, structures and colours. Nature has a way of grounding me and calming my active mind. Seeing water colour flow has a really meditative aspect.

However, Flavour Trip highly inspires my art as well and I try to visually express the journey, adventures and emotions I experience on this trip.

The values I carry at heart and which I aim to convey through my art are balance, hope, authenticity, joie de vivre. I’m looking to capture the light-soaked miracles that everyday life holds for us.

DUSTY LUNGS Artwork

Dusty Lungs reflects my ongoing exploration of nature’s raw, organic forms. Painted in ink on canvas and presented in a self-crafted wooden frame, the work embodies my pursuit of intentional imperfection and instinctive movement. 

The title alludes to the accumulation of unexpressed emotions - an inner 'dust' that forms when experiences remain unspoken. At the same time, it offers a subtle commentary on environmental pollution, echoing the fragility of both the human condition and the natural world.

Through this piece, I invite contemplation on breath, burden, and the unseen forces that shape our internal and external landscapes.

It's a gentle reminder to slow down, embrace your silliness, eat good food, feel the groove, laugh from the heart and to not judge. These are the things we try to live by and every now and then it's good to have a little reminder. Maybe these values speak to you too?
